A seldom-seen shot of the PM's Black River drawbridge in Port Huron in the closed position. Taken in 1972, at approximately the time that the C&O discontinued service north of the river. It continued to be lowered to allow head room for switching moves in the adjacent yard to the south until 1980.
T.J. Gaffney write a history of this bridge, that was published in the March-April, 2013 issue of PM Tracks.
