Concrete Bumpers at Weston Street, Grand Rapids, Michigan

The former PM freight house in Grand Rapids sat along Grandville Avenue in the shadow of the US-131 "S Curve" until the 1980s.

At the north end of the freight house sidings, Weston Street was protected by concrete bumpers which were still in place when this photo was shot in 1982. Similar bumpers were used in Muskegon and at other locations on the PM.
