Clearance Form, 1936

 

The clearance form served as the  cover sheet" for the orders delivered to a train at a train order station.

On the clearance would be listed all of the orders being issued for a given train at that station. This clearance indicates that Train #5 (the southbound Chicago Limited) was issued train order number 61 at Benton Harbor, Michigan on September 10, 1936.
