EMD Pere Marquette Streamliner Paint Scheme Proposal 1

 

One of several paint schemes that EMD proposed for the 1946 Pere Marquette streamliner.

EMD's Art Department proposed several different paint schemes for the Pere Marquette's streamliner. This is one which not only didn't make the cut, but had little in common with the design which was ultimately adopted. The yellow wings on the nose did appear a few years later on the C&O's BL2s.
