PM Berkshire #1223 on Display at Grand Haven, Michigan, August 2001 (2/2) - Front View

 

Ex-Pere Marquette Berkshire #1223 on display during the PM 1223 Preservation Committee open house and ice cream social on August 9, 2001.

This event marked the first time that the original headlight and numberboards were restored to #1223 since the restoration project began, giving her a completely accurate "face" for the first time in decades. The coal dock in the background was built and used by the Grand Trunk Western when this property was the GTW's Grand Haven yard.
