The PM was not originally scheduled to receive any USRA 2-8-2s. During the tenure of the USRA, however, the PM's situation was re-evaluated and in 1919, three groups of USRA Light Mikados originally intended for the Wabash, the Indiana Harbor Belt and the New York Central were instead assigned to the PM.Lima-built #1015 was originally slated to become Indiana Harbor Belt #407, but instead served the PM until November, 1951.
Number 1015 is shown at Detroit in April, 1940, pulling the large tender it received in 1937.
