PM 2-8-2 #1015 at Detroit in April, 1940

 

The PM was not originally scheduled to receive any USRA 2-8-2s. During the tenure of the USRA, however, the PM's situation was re-evaluated and in 1919, three groups of USRA Light Mikados originally intended for the Wabash, the Indiana Harbor Belt and the New York Central were instead assigned to the PM.

Lima-built #1015 was originally slated to become Indiana Harbor Belt #407, but instead served the PM until November, 1951.

Number 1015 is shown at Detroit in April, 1940, pulling the large tender it received in 1937.
