PM Pacific #717 at Detroit, Michigan in April, 1940

 

The PM's Class SP-3 Pacifics of 1921 were its heaviest Pacifics, but had less tractive effort than the Class SP-2 Pacifics delivered seven years earlier. Number 717 was a 1921 Alco product. It is shown here at the coaling dock in Detroit on April 5, 1940.
