PM E7 #104 in Detroit in August, 1959, but for losing its side windows and gaining a C&O herald on its nose, is changed little from its as-delivered appearance. It leads a sister that has lost its side windows and been repainted to look more like the C&O's E8s.
In 1961 #104 was renumbered to 4511 and served until 1966, when it was sold to the L&N, which used its prime movers to repower a pair of Alco switchers.
