River ferries PM 10 and PM 12 ended their careers on the C&O and CSX on the run between Port Huron and Sarnia, Ontario.
PM 10 (left), was converted to a tug-drawn barge in 1974, and served right up to the end of CSX ferry service at Port Huron in 1995. With the completion of the new GTW tunnel at Port Huron, CSX gained trackage rights and PM 10 was laid up alongside the yard at Port Huron, where she rests today.
PM 12 (right), ended her career for the C&O in 1969, when she was sold to the Canadian National. She was renamed St. Clair (II), and used between the CN's Sarnia and Port Huron docks until the mid-1990s when she was sold for use as a lumber barge.
