CSXT classroom car #940203, Spirit of Pere Marquette. This car was rebuilt from C&O MOW kitchen car #K102, which was originally built as Army troop kitchen car #K376.
While this car was never owned by the Pere Marquette, and it is extremely unlikely that it ever operated on the Pere Marquette before being assigned to MOW duty by the C&O, it was repainted by shop crews in Saginaw to commemorate the men and women of the Pere Marquette. It was usually seen in Saginaw, or as shown here during the summer of 2000, in Flint.
This car has been moved to the Sanilac County Historic Village and Museum in Port Sanilac and is undergoing restoration to its appearance as a troop kitchen car.
